  1. The fans on my MacBook Pro 16" are going wild whenever I connect an external monitor. The reason? The heat dissipation is not sufficient when the Radeon 5500 M GPU (consuming 20 W!) kicks in. 🥵

      The issue is getting worse and worse for me to the extent that I had a stuttering system in my workshop today. The answers in the respective thread in the Apple forum are 277 pages long. It’s an engineering flaw, but Apple won’t act on it. Unacceptable. discussions.apple.com/thread/250878229

        Just in case you are looking into buying a MacBook Pro 16" with a Radeon 5500… You might not be able to use it with an external monitor. 😕
